My Top 5 Albums of All-Time

In no particular order, my 5 all-time favourite albums ...
Hotel California
I don't think there hasn't been a week since the release of Hotel California that I haven't played/heard at least one track, let alone the whole album. It has to be the most listened to album in my entire life, even more so since The Eagles fetched the DVD out 'Hell Freezes Over' which has most of the Hotel California songs on.
If ever there was a script for a movie with a ready-made soundtrack available, it has to be Hotel California.
- Hotel California (6:30)
- New Kid in Town (5:03)
- Life in the Fast Lane (4:46)
- Wasted Time (4:56)
- Wasted Time (Reprise) (1:23)
- Victim of Love (4:09)
- Pretty Maids All in a Row (3:58)
- Try and Love Again (5:10)
- Last Resort (7:28)
Led Zeppelin 3
Led Zeppelin - what hasn't been said/written about them ? The highlight track of '3' has to be "Since I've been loving you" though the whole album is a highlight for me, the most played of all the Led Zep. albums in my collection ~ on vinyl, of course.
- Immigrant Song (2:25)
- Friends (3:54)
- Celebration Day (3:29)
- Since I've Been Loving You (7:23)
- Out On the Tiles (4:06)
- Gallows Pole (4:56)
- Tangerine (3:10)
- That's the Way (5:37)
- Bron-Y-Aur Stomp (4:16)
- Hats Off to (Roy) Harper (3:42)
Rumours ...
Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumours' feels as fresh today as when it was first released. A massive worldwide selling album that seemed to be a musical portrayal of the Band's personal relationships that was universal in it's appeal to everyone.

- Don't Stop
- Go Your Own Way
- Songbird
- Chain
- You Make Loving Fun
- I Don't Want to Know
- Oh Daddy
- Gold Dust Woman
Double Fantasy
John Lennon's last album before his untimely death, has some great tracks on it but what I didn't realise until a good few years after enjoying listening to it, is the concept that it is a 'Love Opera' between John and Yoko, each performing a track after the other.

Charge
Not a well-known choice, I'm sure, but the cover of this70's Prog. Rock album was from Roger Dean, who is probably better known than the Group who recorded this album 'Charge'.
Recently it was digitally remastered onto CD, I would recommend that a copy would be well worth a listen !

Double Fantasy was pretty amazing. I think my all-time favorite though is Nirvana's MTV Unplugged in New York. Solid.
